At Wild Bank, we are committed to ensuring that learning continues for all pupils, even when circumstances mean they cannot attend school in person. In line with Department for Education guidance, remote education is provided only when attendance is not possible or would be contrary to government advice.
Our approach to remote education includes:
- High-quality learning: Lessons are planned to match the curriculum pupils would follow in school, ensuring continuity and progression.
- Access for all: We aim to remove barriers to learning by providing digital resources, printed materials where needed, and support for families without internet access.
- Regular interaction: Pupils will have opportunities to engage with teachers through live sessions, recorded lessons, and feedback on submitted work.
- Safeguarding and wellbeing: Online learning follows our safeguarding policies and we provide pastoral support to help pupils stay safe and well.
- Expectations: Pupils are expected to complete work set and attend live sessions where possible. Parents can support by creating a routine and contacting us if issues arise.
Remote education is a short-term solution and not a substitute for school attendance. Our priority is always to help pupils return to face-to-face learning as soon as possible.
